Golden Gate2.9.2010
Seventh day, Wednesday 09/01/10 On the way to the Golden Gate Bridge via Cable Car. A Cable Car is a fossil vehicle which has three routes through SF. You can jump on or off it at every streetcorner. When it drives up an upgoing street, you might have the wonderful and very well known view from up to the waterfront.

A little stop in Rome (Palace of Fine Arts Exploratorium) before reaching the GGB.

Finally – the GGB! GGB alone. The red giant today without fog.

  GGB with me.

Is´nt it beautiful my new tattoo?

On the other sideof the bridge. When I told the owl-looking telescope that I am leaving soon it spontaneously began to cry.

Alcatraz – the Rock 1.9.2010
Sixth day, Tuesday 08/31/10 Leaving SF for Alcatraz. Alcatraz, Alcatraz, Alcatraz. I had to step into the footprints of Nicolas Cage, Sean Connery and Clint Eastwood. What an exciting excursion!

On Alcatraz you got a very interesting point of view or better to say of know ... Closed in the sixties, since then it was occupied more than a year by Indians. Never known that, but it feels good – what they got was an extra territorial to live. You will get a very semi-politically story and some impressions now!

The shape of SF, a part of a pink shirt and a part of the Bay Bridge (leading to Oakland) in the background ...

Oha – behind bars again – because of loitering in front of cameras @ an U.S. national park.

Front Alcatraz, hat included.

Inner courtyard Alcatraz – Alter, krass. Set for my next zombie-western.

Everyone back to his cell, Klassenarbeit. I have a headache. Jetzt erstmal einen Alca-Cell-Zer.

Oakland/Raiders is called Twix now1.9.2010
Fifth day, Monday 08/30/10Today I went to Oakland – home of the Raiders, Kaiser Center & Anticon. In the center there is a very beautiful lake called Lake Merritt. Nothing else happend, but before returning to SF, when I was sitting in a small coffee, eating some salad, a guy with a white shirt went along. Funny thing was, until i realized that this guy is Doseone, he was gone with the wind as fast as he raps.

Lake Merritt ("public" restrooms in the vis-à-vis library – tip for lost tourists!).

Who knows ...

My MOMA man. My MOMA man.30.8.2010
Fourth day, Sunday 10/29/10Yes, the famous plaza named after the movie "Milk" with Sean Penn ;-) It can be found in the district called Castro. Here you can find lots of well-trained man (as you can see on the picture) and just a few woman (okay, this pic is not a really good measure – woman/man at a ratio of 50/50). Now I am realizing that I have been at the deathplace of Harvey Milk two days ago – the City Hall. How would the world be, if Harvey was still alive?

Please respect all plantings – und ich erstmal so schön durch die Rabatten für ein schickes Foto. On my way to the top of Twin Peaks.

Waiting for Dale Cooper ...

All the way up zu Fuß. But the outlock entschädigt alles. The street in the middle is Market Street with ca. 6.000 stores of Walgreen´s. @ Walgreen´s I bought some cinnamon toothpaste for Ariane.

My MOMA man. My MOMA man. Museum Of Modern Art SF. My new hanging around place number one. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, the buildings are huge and

Who you callin´ a crab now?29.8.2010
Thirst day, Saturday 10/28/10First Amtshandlung: Burger essen. Very delicious veggie burger with melon des(s)ert, french fried fries & guys (in the background) @ Lorries Diner in Downtown.

After spending lots of time finding out which public transportation leads to the famous Fisherman´s Wharf, we finally reach it: the Wharf. Who you callin´ a crab now?

What a beautiful sky with beautiful chemtrails. Chemtrails – reality or conspiracy? Pier 39 – real or unreal? It is your decision – but my memory.

Beautiful skyline of San Francisco versus Pier 39 @ Fisherman´s Wharf. Be patient, the smell continues!

Ha – the famous sea lions hanging around on the Pier, stinking and being boring, but allways worth a picture. Honestly, it looks like shit in front of the famous Rocket Boat ...

Oh what a crazy shit. Awesome picture of a jellyfish @ Aquarium of the Bay – for the next design of a postcard!

This is how I would look like living in an aquarium – maybe in your livingroom

I like turtles, I look like turtles, I am a turtle.

Ciao wharf! I harf to go narf.

One time Golden Gate Park w/ Haight und zurück.28.8.2010
Second day, Friday 10/27/10 walking trough the Haights – destination Haight Ashbury & Golden Gate Park.

Oha second day of our jounrey and one of my wishes come true.
Meeting Katy, only  printed on a piece of paper, but naked.

What would a visit in USA be without checking up Kidrobot store? Right – a visit without checking up Kidrobot. On this pic I am checking up Kidrobot, buying some new Dunnys.

Finally @ Golden Gate Park. Here I am loitering as th saint Florian in front of the De Young Museum/SF-Fire.

Haha how funny – history is getting alive!  Oh no, I think it is art – not Napoleon ... Haha, so art gets alive. Main thing is: enclodes a whistle!

The end of Golden Gate Park – a dutch mill! What a beautiful ensemble!!! Just some more steps and we will reach Ocean Beach (Pacific Ocean).

The aim is a beach! What a quote – use it fi you like! C ya tomorrow, hopefully without sunburn mega xxl!

California starter kit28.8.2010
First day, Thursday 10/26/10 After turning a blind eye to letting me in, I was in. Hooray, San Francisco – westcoast, here we go ... Give me sunshine, palm, Katy Perry.

How funny – whole San Francisco is delivered with water by aqueduct. Here you can see a typically water tap.

This is the entrance to our Hostel called City Hall.

In front of the hostel making silly moves.

Indra gets angry.

Brooklyn Bounce22.5.2010
Thursday 05/20/10 After spending some hours in jail because of lying down the blue color from the sky (German Sprichwort "Das Blaue vom Himmel herunter lügen") by making jokes about jail, we passed the Brooklyn Bridge to reach Brooklyn. Wherever else?

Funny guys wearing sunglasses or black stripes, having fun @ Brooklyn Bridge

Meanwhile, let us see what is going on under the bridge:

Believe it or not – this is a part of Brooklyn, the so called Brooklyn bound. It takes about 2 hours to walk and you will get a very nice area full of nature and a cool waterfront. On the other side the contrast:  Manhattan. You can see a nice panorama pic of the Brooklyns waterfront here.

Walking up the Columbia Heights (another famous way to walk) is a little bit exhausting. Jetzt erstmal Middagh machen. Tomorrow is the last day – like B. Dolan says "Leaving New York". Ciao NYC and well done – we will see us again – someday. Thanks to everyone reading and watching this crap i collected.

Staten Island20.5.2010

Wednesday 05/19/10 After spending some hours in jail because of hacking down a tree, to drink canned Arizona Ice Tea on a stump, we took a fairy to Staten Island:

This is a typically American street. If you see a flag, let me know. I love electrical towers and around hanging cable.

Standing on a beach with a gun in my hand – starring at the sea, starring at the sand ... @ Staten Island.

Does anybody know the meaning of this flag with the stars arranged in a circle?

Architecture in New Yorkinski/Victorian Filsinger the Greek20.5.2010
Tuesday 05/18/10 After spending some hours in jail because of loitering in front of the FDNY, we visited some curious architecture from here to there, mostly in NYC.

At first we visited the Flatiron Building (originally called Fuller Building). If I had to share an apartment in this building, i won´t choose the room in front ...

Here you can see typically Greek/Victorian styled pillar (not me, i am neither Greek nor Victorian, even though Victorian Filsinger the Greek sounds so cool!!!).

Oh that´s nice, too. A trip via ferry to Staten Island. In the background u can clearly c the Financial District of Manhatten. In front an agent of Homeland Security. All agents must go (to the beach now).

A tuevening @ Mercury Lounge19.5.2010

A Tuesday evening (why isnt it called a tuevening?) @ Mercury Lounge: After spending some hours in jail because of drinking beer in public, we visited a concert from KEEPAWAY having release party for their new E.P.! They sounded very interesting - dancehall eighties electro ragga mixed with some indie guitars. Dunno, but they looked funny. Buy the shit. As the warm-up act officiated TONY CASTLES, they have been very awesome, too. Buy their stuff if you find sth.! Another warm-up was DOM. Dont know what was going on, but the masses were screaming when they played, although they looked like a mix between son-in-law, Kurt Cobain and too much watching the movie "Clerks" - every second song was awful because of wannabe stlye like Sex Pistols/guitar chords stolen by Rolling Stones (felt like it). Nevermind. That was pure Rock&Roll.

Philadelphia/Y 2 those Laws17.5.2010
Sunday 05/16/10 After spending some hours in jail because of sitting on stairways where sitting on stairways is strictly prohibited, we started our bus trip to Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, sixth-largest city of USA, second-largest in the east. The bus was lead by the Eastern Bus Company (tag "review"; if you want to know more about it, feel free to ask). We arrived after a two hours trip over Express Highway – without antishock pad – jump hard – shake around. Ah ah uh uh. On the trip back to NYC we had an one hour delay and total needed four hours feat. hard traffic jam – dillydally and driving in circles included. As a nice compensation we could see the skyline from New Jersey in the dark.

In Philly we stumbled upon a nice art bazaar by accident. It took place at the waterfront – a very beautiful scenery! Arts meets music e.g. young country music with Songs For Lonesome Hearts.

@ the bazaar we meet lots of kind artists. One of them was Drew, an Philadelphia based guy. Drew aka Maple Ridge makes very beautiful stuff – always worth a journey his web-shop or his blog. Check it out immediately – he produced e.g. this nice your-head-through-a-hole-funny-make-pic-thing.

In Philadelphia was written the declaration of independence and lots more of historic stuff like invention of the cheesesteak happened here. Here also stands and rings the Liberty Bell. Y 2 those laws. Word!

Philly sounds silly but love is above. This picture is for my friend Akim Balthasar Bux.

Before getting back to NYC we used the restrooms @ Macys and made some typically USA-flag-eagle pics. Macys looks like the German Karstadt in an historic building.

You can see a nice panorama pic of the Philadelphia waterfront here. Guess who is in the centre ...

Breaking the law/This is sit17.5.2010
Saturday 05/15/10 Addition: @ Grand Central Station. The question is "What do you see?". Possible answers might be: 1. Lots of illiterate 2. People, breaking the law or 3. People sitting on stairways where sitting on stairways is strictly prohibited.

First and second day NY state travel15.5.2010
Friday 05/14/10 JFK Airport 4 o´clock p.m! Control at passport check, greeting the flag, swearing to God and the holy bible, hurry, hurry, hetz, hetz I want to go to the hotel now. USA checks my German status of working. Media design, graphic design, printing, ah, ah, Homeland Security noch nie was von gehört, never mind you can go in, hurry, hurry but why don´t you have a ring on your finger – go marry your girl. Yes mister policeman, I will so and going to invite you. Thank you. I am in. USA. Airtrain and the Subway – a good combination, very cheap and you can see a lot of NYC. Slums, slums, slums, Brooklyn, Manhattan.

Next step hotel: Saint Marks Place, East Village. We have a microwave, tv, fridge and a basin. Nice. Fridge means translated in Florianisch "Buy beer 0,3 l Dosen sixpack, geili geili – everytime schön kühl". Yes sir, I will so. Some beers later a little walk through the Viertel und dann watching a filmset of HBOs "Bored To Death" series. A really to death boring taxi scene. Also ab ins Bett, tomorrow meeting with my old friend  teatcher Jörg. NYC weather: short trousers, t-shirt.

Hello Jörg long time no see. But now umso mehr. Happy happy breakfast @ Central Park with New Jörg.

Und weil es so schön war letztens, visiting my friends at the turtle-bay.

Sometimes it is good to eat some fruits, but there was only the chance to buy i-pads for 200 $. Welcome gift i-pod nano 1 GB.

I have a new job as flag-photographer.

A picture for the kids: daddy in front of a NYPD tank.

NYC weather: short trousers hochgekrempelt, t-shirt.

Second day: From Portobello to the Tower and back via Oxford13.12.2009
Internet is very special here. In the hotel I would have to pay 1 pound the hour. @ Starbucks it is for free, but it seems to be that you have to fill out a Starbucks member whatevership card to join their wifi. Doesn´t matter, England also exsists without www. A very hot tip is the Portobello Market @ Notting Hill. Some of oyu may know from the movie Notting Hill. Here you can see me at a jeans store filled with old Singer "Nähmaschinen". That´s nice ´cause on the telephone i am spelling my name "F wie Friedrich, I wie Ida,  L wie Ludwig und Singer – wie die Nähmaschine.

Sometimes i love streetart, but it has to be good – like this @ Portostreet:

On the way to Tower Bridge the Monument crossed the way. What else to do to take a nice pic?

When i talked to Indra about health & fitness, she transformed into an egg.

Strange guy in front of the Tower Bridge.

Strange Guy on the Tower Bridge.

Where the wild things are @ Oxford Street

In the mirror @ H&M. Indras form changed back from an egg to a human.

First day: U.K. starter kit13.12.2009
Yeah, what is this? It is th U.K. (Abt. Semantik: U.K. kommt von einer dt. Abk. – von oben = U.nglaublich K.lein)

Nothing special happened, I just started one hour later than planned. But London was waiting. Now writting this crap, I am so tired that Beak has to play their concert without me. Instead of ignoring the culture nigthlife i sarted shopping in Soho. I found my favorit shops Urban Outfitters and Kidrobot!

Just another snapshot: the secret homebase of Jack Bauers U.K. pendant.

What a first day. It ended @ an English Spar-Shop with some cans of Bud and a salad and my be loved instand meal Cup Noodles with a Flap Jack for dessert. After watching "The IT Crowd", the light goes out and my eyes shut down. Good night folks.

District 9.12.9.2009
At first a riddle. From which movie do you know this building?A little hint: it is in Manhattan, North Moore Street.

Yesterday we have been in cinema, watching Peter Jacksons District 9. The movie was okay. Before it started we watched 20 minutes of local ads. They aren´t really better than the Germans. On the pic i am standing in front of the cinema, behind me, coverd by fog, a huge building. Very impressive.

Zombieland, coming soo. Nut up or shut up.

Okay, back to the riddle. My favorit building in New York. If you think that it is a fire department, you are right. But if you say "There is something strange in the neighbourhood ...", you are totally right. Yes indeed, it is the original Ghostbusters HQ from the movies, OMG. Now it is open and a fire department.

I am giving the building a hug. Holy shit! GHOSTBUSTERS!!!

And there is this nice ugly kinky awful drawing to remind on the movie.

So, the last nice impression for this year. If you want to see more from NY, call USA.

Okay, thx 4 reading this blog and supporting my narcissim. Obama may have the last word. Keep that in mind! Peace out, Flo!

9/11 rain.11.9.2009
Friday 09/11/09. The fixed flushing in the restroom is broken again. Nevermind. A natures call is a natures call. Today is eight years later 9/11, but nothing special is going on. There are some pictures in the undergroud reminding of police officers dying in the towers and a music festival for peace. But it is raining very strong.

We wanted to visit the Flatiron Building. But the rain doesn´t stop so we got back to the hotel after a little shopping tour through the HBO (my favorit TV Station: Rome, Sopranos, The Wire, Flight Of The Conchords, Deadwood, ...) Shop and the second Urban Outfitters (books, clothes, figures, stuff) store. Damn´ they also haven´t the Joy Division shirt in the size m. I think i have to go back to Dylans Candy Shop to eat some sugar bombs, so the left size xl will fit. On the photo you can see me with two Marshmellow Men (they are also selling "Shit 2010" but it is not interesting for me). I would have like visited the Virgin Megastore, but it is closed, so i ate indian style. What a delicious logic.

The kids stay at home cause it´s raining. Here you can see me with my new friends Smorkin´ Labbit (50% off) Kid Robot stuff.

Bilderberg @ Rockefeller & some candy11.9.2009
Thursday 09/10/09 On our way to Bloomingdale´s, we found this nice offer in a shopping window: Puppy Sale up to 65% off or buy two – get one free. It is so sad we ain´t allowed to take animals back to Germany – i would have bought them all!

Bloomingdale´s is not worth one picture. What a decadent fucking shit – but i used their Restroom. Later @ Dylan Candy Shop. Wooh. Let´s go to the candy shop and i ´ll show you some lollipop. Very sweet.

Welcome @ Bilderberg, here is the Rockefeller Center: Top Of The Rock. On this picture: Still upground. Not yet on top.

Well, the Central Park as seen from the top of the Rockefeller Center. Very windy.

Oh, sorry i fall asleep for a minute. Taking the whole stairs up to the 76th floor had kicked my ass. Behind me: Empire State Building.

If you find the taxi, i will show you what happend with me after the Dylon Candy Shop ...

Someone found the taxi?
