Wednesday, 01st February 2012 ![]() As a skyline-lover I had to visit the skyline of Miami, based downtown, as always in the financial district! Moving around by using the Metro Mover – a free "train" to get around in downtown. ![]() Happy birthday Jan Neidhardt aka Israel Jackson! Animated gif of the day: ![]()

Tuesday, 31th January 2012 After the first night, I already woke up beside Rihanna - so I said "Screw you! I need some space to travel". Said and done. ![]() Early in the morning I visited the beach (5 minutes away from my hostel). It seemed to be died out, but it might me possible that all the tourist guys sleeping out their drunking night before-party. Might be possible that I am the only person being awake at 7:30 a.m., walking around, smiling at the beach (maybe I am a time change victim?) ... It might be that I am carrying honey at my ass because – felt hundreds of – seagulls were always joining me. ![]() After spending a lot of time at the beach, I tried some shopping stuff. The Lincoln Road seemed to be the right place to find a really awful but typically Hawaiian shirt . I found everythig else but H&M – e.g. the Artcenter of Florida also being based there. Check out all that nice stuff here Art Center South Florida! The white ground and stripes of the flag are made of white small plastic soldiers ![]() Nearby I also visited the "Espanola Way" – a street full of spanish shops. I am not sure about it but I would say Spanish is the first language in Miami (if not - the 2nd for sure!!!) – thx 2 Cuba (and Piet Ketter – my Spanish teacher). ![]() Watch out for street art made by La Pandilla! It is worth every second of your life!

Monday, 30th January 2012 Miami – yeah. ![]() In the run-up to I was not sure about it. After getting into the bus (from the airport), I needed about an hour to reach my "hostel". When I see it first I thought "Omg!", but when I opened the door to my room, I felt in love! A great room w/ fridge, micorwave, tv, seperate bathroom, a doublebed, 3 chairs, a table, an accessible wardrobe, a mirror and so on! Much more better than some "hotels"! In reviews the hostel got 60 % positive reaction. I would give them 120 % if you aks me. Ask me, I would answer all your questions! Lombardy 4ever (I will get benefits)!

Wednesday, 12 October 2011 What did I do today? This is a good question. I would say just shopping. I got up at 6.30 am preparing for the day. At 8 ´ve been on the streets, driving some metro. My plan was to get to Barnes & Nobles in the Lincoln Center to buy a map of NYC, a book and a DVD. I made a small excursion through the Central Park with some have rock climbing action. When I stopped at Lincoln Center I realized that B&N had moved out. So I tumbled back via 5th Avenue, drinking coffee and visiting my homies from Pizza Bro (one slice for 1 $) at St. Marks. Catch of the day: Rescue Me Season 5, the last Serengeti (Anticon) CD and an older record from Pivot (Warp) – both CDs together just 5 bugs. ![]() Heavy rock climbing: ![]() Central part of the Central Park: ![]() ![]() Do you need any proof?

Tuesday, 11 October 2011 Nothing special happend. In Amsterdam the same rude security woman from my last visit was working. I was a little bit afraid, but after concentrating on my breath, I got relaxed and everything went out okay! In the plane they gave me a kosher meal. I had ordered a veggie meal but I don´t want to be unthankful. I forget that kosher doesn´t automatically mean for vegetarians. Lame story. But the cake was delicious. I watched the last X-Men movie and and a film with Liam Neeson called Unknown. Very interesting Hollywood movie playing in Berlin. I also forget my map of NYC. So I walk around a little bit stupid, not knowing where left and right is. But in the end I found the Bowery House, the place where I will stay. Have a look from the rooftop garden! In some days I will write a conclusion about this etablisement. It News of the day: Budweiser has got a new design. Rooftop garden @ Bowery House Knot or coffee bean – who knows?

Saturday, 02nd April 2011 part 2. Let´s go for a walk on the 5th Ave! First unintentionally stop @ Union Square. What a great idea – a flashmob where everybody brings his/her own pillow. Never seen that before :-D A little bit annoying for pedestrian. The people had fun, so what ... Ah – Flatiron Building. Thank God that Photoshop CS5 produces such great panorama pictures. I have all of them – posted here – in a high resolution, if someone is interested, drop me line ... I also stood in front of the library where the first ghost was seen in Ghostbusters – the movie. I sat down in the footprints of Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray (love both of em), writting some postcards to my beloved ones as well. Back at home I had my last meal in NYC: falafel with humus, cucumber and a bottle of Pabst beer. Goodbye. I ´ll come back in three month. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Saturday, 02nd April 2011 It all started at the seaside in the south of Manhattan. Unfortenitly have been on every island, so I stayed on mainland, just enjoing the sun. After that I made the typically trip through the Financial District (also called FiDi), tumbling into a film location again (yesterday it had been HBOs "How To Make It In America"). "Please get back behind that black truck if you are not with the filmcrew". So I said that I am an actor. What a pity, they asked for my name and I said Richard Gere, so I had to step back. That is how you don´t make it in America haha! Then I went to the "westcoast" of the eastcoast: Hudson River. A wonderful view of New Jersey including some chemtrails. But who cares – it is not over Manhattan?!? Let´s have a look! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Friday, 01st April 2011 I dit it – I just bought a house. For just 18.950.000 $, sounds a lot but it is much less in €, ask Wolfram Alpha. I had to lend me some money, but know I have the greatest view on the Hudson of all! They also offered me a job as a real estate agent. I agreed. I will never come back to Germany. Sorry. Entschuldigung.![]() April, April. I know this was the lamest April Fool in history.

Thursday, 31th March 2011 Have you ever met Matt? What a day. My left foot up to the knee is kind of lame and hurts a little bit of walking so much ... So I stayed in bed for today, working on a remix for Bomarr (actually he didnt asked me, but I did to give me a try). Shame on me, I should explore, but it is also good to get some rest! After watching one and a half episode of How I Met Your Mother, I went to the Cake Shop (again), meeting Matt. I am always too excited meeting people in person in the real world, until then just knowing them from the internet. But it was really cool! We grab some beers and went to the Mercury Lounge, trying to get tickets for the sold out show of Cults. Actually it has been sold out technically, so after paying 12 bucks each, we could go in, enjoing Cults. They looked like my first band, a The Cure coverband, but sounded really good! You should try it - I think my mother would like it, too! After that we went to a goth bar, I wouldnt have expected Iron Maiden, but it was cool listening to them again! Thanks Matt it was a really awesome night! Hope to see you again! ![]() That´s a picture I made from my tv-set showing a technically error – a freezed frame. I like that Satan dude on the right. It is kind of spooky. I think I will usa it for my next cd artwork! ![]()

Wednesday, 30th March 2011 Today I walked an ox-tour from City Hall to Brooklyn – of course via Brooklyn Bridge. Brooklyn Heights, Manhattan Bridge, the whole program. My feet are burning, believe it. I lose weight because walking around so much. But I also collect weight by eating this huge brownies, big enough for you and me + 1 ... So no chance to make out. I see all these beautiful girls. Sometimes I just wanna ask if on of them is interestes in making out, no telephone number, no facebook friendship, no getting laid, just pure making out while sitting on a park bench or something like that. My girlfriend is okay with that. She trusts me, knows that I am back for dinner. Main thing is that I get her gifts! Haha, I am kidding. That´s all literary fantasy stuff like Vampire Diary. I am too tired for that kind of fun. I just watch tv and write postcards. Btw watching tv. Did anyone ever realized that the characters in "How I met your mother" drink alcoholic beverages almost everyday? Think (or drink) about it! And if you ask someone for postcards, don´t forget to ask for "picture" postcards! My Indra knows what that means. "Bilder?", an american woman, originally from Germany, once aksed us, while we were looking for "postcards" and no one could work with that ... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Tuesday, 29th March 2011 This night I walked 10 minutes to the Cake Shop. It was my first night stop in NYC ever in 2009, now I am back. This time the three bands Starring, Sleeping In The Aviary und Butchers & Bakers were playing. The second band was really great, they sounded like Violent Femmes on speed. They said that they didnt take drugs, it was a lot of macaroni and cheese ...![]()

I get up at 7 in the morning, so I am almost very tired to join a night program ... Haven´t yet seen the city at night this year. But I collected some nice pieces of movie clips with my camera. And that ´s one reason for me to be here. Another one is the dream of doing what I want before turning 30. Sounds stupid, but I act how I think I have to. Next month I am getting totally serious, starting to plan a family-career and so on, buying a house, never making music again and so on :-D It really feels good to move totally native through the street of NYC. I have this market across the street. It sells everything I need, my veggie/vegan food, water and my favorit beer. I know where the next post office is and how it works. I know the underground-system. Everything ´s cool. I consider to buy a apartment in Brooklyn. Who is with me? It is really nice, this morning I bought a coftee – typically for the US gastronomy scene is to tip your seller. I gave tip, she appreciate it and called me"dear" and gave me a tasty vanilla-coconut-pastry. So nice. I fall in love. Not with a person, but with a behavior! See what ´s going on in my fridge and out of my window!![]()

Ja, ja – I hear people yelling "Use a credit card! Who needs cash?" and so on, but I am oldschool, I use banknotes and coins. But i wont get it. Today I stood at a cash register and wanted to be very intelligent in working with coins. Every combination was wrong, so I showed the seller my wallet and she began to pick up the correct comrades. Now I know how it it feels like being elderly. But thanks for the kind support, I really appreciate it :-D This morning I walked several hours through the Central Park, shooting some movies. Maybe I am going to post some here later ...![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() F for famous Central Pork!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Monday, 28th March 2011 Really funny. In the city that never sleeps, shops opening at 11 a.m.! sometimes they should go to bed (earlier) I guess! That´s stupid if you stand in front of em at 9.30 ... But the sun is shinning so I can walk around see whats up in town. Checking the dos and donts. The people know I am here – they have one thought "There is this guy walking through my city. Nice boy! What is he doing next?" Maybe I should make some art pictures like this:![]() or that. Also without a flag on it, I would say it is the snapshot of the day! No fx, no post-editing, just pure iPhonography! ![]() After that I went to my favort record store Other Music, 15 E 4th St., New York, 10003, buying some cds – helping US economy.

Sunday, 27th March 2011 Oh man, my first single flight to the States and the crap started in Amsterdam. The security worker had an eye on me. While boarding she asked really detailed questions about my life, whys and whos. She got really annoying, asking how much different sorts of coffee my clients have for sale. If this would not be enough, she invited her colleague. He asked me the same questions, futhermore wanted to know the corporate color of one of my clients. I still do not get it. Getting more and more nervous about where this talk would lead to, she asked me, if I feel uncomfortable ... Bla bla. At least I could take my ride to Mother Safety (- for YOUR safety). Oh no, no private TV selection for each passenger ... So I had to watch "Meet the Fockers" and "Cyrus" on a screen for everyone. They also screened a "Narnia" movie. What a crap. Don´t watch Narnia unless you are not older than 6 years or a big fan of talking lions and other mystically overloaded fantasy stuff ... But you have to try this: Indra made this nice CD compilation for me: various artist w/ songs about – ka-ching – NYC.
